Rendezvous is our big event each year, and has traditionally been held the first full weekend in August. The first 3 Rendezvous were held on the western shore. In 1988 we went to South Haven, Michigan, and since then we have alternated shores. Rendezvous has been held at Great Lakes, Milwaukee, Chicago, South Haven, Racine, Holland, Manitowoc, Waukegan, Saugatuck, Port Washington, White Lake, Grand Haven, Fayette State Park Frankfort, and Sheboygan. Rendezvous has included a race, open boat, cookout, and some type of presentation as well as trips to West Marine or the local boat store. Many a project has been accomplished on a boat during "Rondi" Lots of help!!!. We have had flare demonstrations with everyone finding out how to actually use a flare with permission granted from the Coast Guard, well in advance. Following rendezvous, a number of boats usually go cruising in company. Rendezvous may be our big event, but not the only thing we do. We also have a dinner meeting in late fall and early spring. Some members get together for sailing on weekends through out the season. Volunteer members publish a news letter SeaWorthy, named for our Sea Worthy vessels. SeaWorthy is published as time and availability of articles permit. SeaWorthy contains information of interest to members, provided by other members. eMail: Info@lmcdoa.org To become a member of LMCDOA complete and print the application and mail it along with your first years dues to the association.
